Annual Statement Filing Instructions for Companies Having Filed under Rule 740
"Credit for Reinsurance"
Maine no longer requires annual reporting of AR-1 forms or Maine cedent lists from either an Accredited Reinsurer or a company having otherwise filed under Rule 740 “Credit for Reinsurance”. The AR-1 and Maine cedent list were provided at the time of application and will remain on file.
Upon approval as a reinsurer in Maine, the only on-going filing requirement is to submit additions to or deletions from the Maine cedent list on file with the Superintendent at least once per calendar quarter. If there has been no change to the Maine cedent list currently on file, there is no submission required.
In addition, Alien Insurers must file an annual statement of the U.S. Reinsurance Trust by March 1 of every year.
